These are amazing!! Full of goodness. They have many flavors including dessert ones. I didn't try those due to my diabetes. The empanadas were hot fresh and very full. Did have some juice in them which made them a little hard to eat in the car. They don't have seating inside or outside which is my only down on them. The staff was very friendly and nice. I would definitely hit this place up if you're in the area. I drove an hour to stop by on my way to the beach. Glad I did. I got the lunch special which was 3 plus a drink and chips.
when I saw the reviews of Miguelo's Empanadas I knew I had to try them. We were not disappointed. every single one we tried was delicious. The crust was crispy, the seasoning was perfect as it was not too spicy nor was it too salty. The service was excellent as everyone was very friendly and patient as you made your choices even though it was very busy. as you can see in my pictures they were a lot of people waiting. I thought that all of the flavors I tried were good so I don't really have a favorite however the dolce de leche dessert empanada was a great way to end off the meal. Make a trip there you will not be disappointed. That's the reason why I posted a picture of the empty box because we polished every single one of them off.
If you’re looking for a quick delicious bite this is the spot. The Carne & Polo Mechada Empanadas was packed with yummy flavors that had the perfect amount of stuffed and juicy beef & chicken. The staff is friendly upon entering and the atmosphere is a vibe. Highly recommend this place, can’t wait to try the other flavors!!!
Not your common empanadas. Surprisingly they were very good. The guys at the front were helpful and the place looked clean. Overall a pleasant experience. I’d go again and try the remaining flavors.

Just like their sign says: “BITE, SMILE, REPEAT” Carryout only, but don’t let that fool you—this spot is EXTREMELY clean, well-lit, and even has Miguelo’s merch for sale. Customer service is unmatched—Valeria was AMAZING! I wanted one of everything and she helped me narrow it down. The empanadas are packaged with so much care, my favorite—the visible “stamp” in the dough. No guesswork (although my “BigBack” says sampling each would’ve a-O.K ). It’s a 35min drive to Stallings, and let’s just say… worth EVERY traffic slowdown &construction project encountered. I’ve already been back 3 weekends in a row . “BITE, SMILE, REPEAT” Tried and LOVE: Pollo Menchado, Spicy Chicken, Chicken Fajita, Ham & Cheese For dessert Guava w/ Cream Cheese,Peach Cobbler If you haven’t been to Miguelo’s yet… RUN, don’t walk. A first of its kind Empanada take-out joint in Indian Trail. I walked in on a Wednesday night about 5:30pm, a few people were inside ordering. When I ordered the girl behind the register was nice and helpful. The place is spotless clean, no seating available. I ordered 3 emapandads: Pizza, Spicy chicken, and Spicy beef. They are all made to order so they came out piping hot and fresh. They put them in a bag, but they don't label them so I had no idea which one I was biting into, which was fun since they were just for me- but could have been a problem if I was ordering for the family. Food review: Empanadas were a decent size, hot and fresh- the Spicy Chicken and Beef were amazing in flavor, not too spicy. The Pizza empanada left a lot to be desired, there wasn't a whole lot of taste or filling, it was more gimmicky like a hot-pocket. I think a pizza empanada would be better air-fried or baked instead of deep fried. Overall it was a really good experience and will definitely be back to try out the other flavors and dessert flavors. Also, its great to have a local joint with a new concept to support.
A great selection of both savory and sweet empanadas. I tried Spicy Beef, Spicy Chicken, Choriqueso (chorizo and cheese), and Cheese. They were all delicious. The empanada dough is a good texture which enhances the filling. Ive only tried their Cilantro dipping sauce, and I wasn't disappointed. Very good flavor.
